Service

I have served in a variety of service/administrative positions within my department, the broader UIUC campus, and the field of 18th-century studies.

In the English department, I have served on the library committee, including designing a library orientation program for new grad students and advocating for humanities needs during the planning phase for an upcoming library construction process.

At UIUC, I served on the University Libraries Student Advisory Committee and am a multiple-year member of Students Advising Graduate Education (SAGE). On SAGE, I helped to develop a support module for graduate students beginning the thesis writing process, and advocated for graduate students to receive crisis support and funding during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I was chair of the Graduate Caucus (now the Graduate and Early Career Caucus) for the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies from 2020-2021.

I look forward to being involved in similar initiatives to support faculty and students at my next institution.
